  This is an introductory course designed for engineers\, developers\, IT p
 rofessionals\, students\, and researchers looking to enhance code performa
 nce using parallel computing. Participants will learn fundamental concepts
  of High-Performance Computing (HPC)\, with a focus on shared and distribu
 ted memory parallelism. The course covers the open-source workload manager
  and job scheduler SLURM (Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management)\, 
 OpenMP for shared memory parallelism\, and MPI for distributed memory comp
 uting\, introducing both single-node and multi-node parallel techniques\, 
 respectively. Additionally\, participants will gain insights into accessin
 g Greek and European supercomputers for research and development. No prior
  HPC experience is required\, but basic programming knowledge (C\, C++\, o
